The Urban Food Network was founded by kidpreneur, Elizabeth Michal Shelby. With a tradition of community service and philanthropy, The Urban Food Network was created to continue a family legacy started by her Grandfather, John E. Prowell, Deacon at Omega Baptist Church, entrepreneur and community gardener.
Miss Elizabeth is committed to the mission of The Urban Food Network and its’ goal to empower children and families living in food desert communities with the knowledge, attitude and desire to positively influence their futures, health and wellness, their communities and the long term sustainability of our planet.
